Darknet Diaries is a must-hear for anyone interested in (cyber)-security as well as true crime fans.
The episodes portray either security professionals, who experienced the craziest stories, or criminals that retell their biggest coups.
It is amazing how the host Jack Rhysider manages to extract the fascinating details from his (in)famous guests to really guide the listener through all the details of a major hack, a break-in into a bank, or a money counterfeiting operation.
All the while, everything is explained in a way that is understandable to the layperson, while even as a professional you can still learn something from the stories.
Economics & Politics
The Tom Woods Show is a great resource to learn more about liberty and freedom from what I would consider a pragmatic and moderate viewpoint. Unlike many podcasts where they ramble on for two hours about all kinds of things, Tom Woods respects your time. Each episode deals with one specific topic, with an expert guest, and they are short and on point.
While he does sometimes focus on current events, in particular on US politics, he provides a broader perspective and historical context. When you are bombarded with political framing from the left and the right, it is refreshing to hear an outside perspective that challenges established opinions.
Note: This podcast is in German.
Every Thursday, André and Martin do a recap over this weeks events. It is casual, funny, satirical.
While they talk a lot about politics (mostly Germany or global issues) they treat it as one giant reality show. Nevertheless, they often arrive at insightful anlyses. When you are swept up in the political turf war, it’s good to take a step back, look at it as the circus that it is – trying to distract you, then consider how to become more sovereign and improve your own life. This podcast helps to gain that perspective.
